High Plains OCIA of Nebraska, Inc. is a chapter of OCIA (Organic Crop Improvement Association) located in the western part of Nebraska. Our chapter encompasses members from Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota and in all areas of the panhandle of Nebraska and parts of the sand hills.
High Plains OCIA of Nebraska, Inc. was formed by a group of interested organic farmers in Kimball Nebraska, lead by Bernie Culek. We became incorporated on March 5, 1998 with members of the Board being: Robert Cook; Marva Holt; Jane Sooby; Kenneth Disney; Mark Jones, and Michael Wiest.
Our aim is to help organic farmers maintain and achieve certification of their ground.

High Plains OCIA of Nebraska Annual Scholarship
The High Plains OCIA of Nebraska, Inc. is offering scholarships of up to $1,000 for the 2018 / 2019 school year. Applicants may submit their entry directly to the Chapter Administrator now through June 1, 2018. The Chapter's Board of Directors will choose the winner based on a letter detailing the applicant’s interest and/or activities in organic production, processes, education, or information.
